Kilchoman 11 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask is the first release in the Family Casks collection, selected by members of the Wills family, who founded the Islay farm distillery. It was distilled in 2011, matured in oloroso sherry casks and bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.7% in a 70cl bottle. The release pairs Kilchoman's coastal, peated spirit with the dark richness of sherry maturation. The nose has barbecue smoke, raisin syrup, walnut cake and dark chocolate, with orange peel and sea spray beneath. The palate is thick with peat smoke, sticky dates, treacle, roasted coffee and salted nuts, warmed by clove and black pepper. The finish is long, smoky and spicy, with sherry sweetness and charred oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
