Kilchoman 18 Year Old is the first edition of the Family Casks series, personally selected by the Wills family, who founded the distillery on Islay. It was matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 50% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers soft campfire smoke, vanilla pod, grilled peach and honeyed cereal, with herbal notes and polished oak. The palate has citrus peel, toasted marshmallow, creamy malt, elegant peat smoke and black pepper. The finish is lingering smoke with vanilla cream, oak char and a saline, mineral note.
