This is a 14 year old Islay single malt from Kilchoman, part of its 20th Anniversary Cask Series. It was matured in ex-sherry butts and comes in a 700ml bottle.
The nose is fresh and spicy, with bold barbecue smoke, black pepper and rich dried fruits. The palate is intense, with warming spices and dried dates, balanced by a touch of dark chocolate and herbal liquorice.
The finish is long, with lingering sweet spices, rich barbecued meats and subtle, integrated peat smoke.
