This is a 10 year old Kilchoman single malt from Islay, a single cask bottled for ImpEx Beverages. It is sold in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured for the full ten years in an Oloroso sherry cask, which adds dried fruit and rich spice to the citrus and peat smoke of the distillery's malt.
The nose brings raisins, orange peel and honey with earthy peat smoke. On the palate come ginger cake, candied citrus, rich smoke and dark chocolate, and the finish is intense but rounded, with lasting smoke and mixed spices.
