Kilchoman Machir Bay Cask Strength Limited Edition 2021 is an Islay single malt from Kilchoman, the island's farm distillery, in a 75cl bottle at 58.3% ABV.
It uses the same vatting of bourbon and sherry casks as the regular Machir Bay, bottled at full cask strength rather than the usual 46%. The 2021 edition was delayed and released in 2022 in new packaging.
The nose offers peat smoke, citrus zest, vanilla, dried fruit and malt. The palate is full and intense, with lemon, vanilla cream, sherry fruit and peat smoke. The finish is long, warming and smoky-sweet.
