Kilchoman – Machir Bay Cask Strength (70cl, 59%)

Kilchoman – Machir Bay Cask Strength is a single malt whisky from Kilchoman (Islay). Bottled at 59% ABV, 70cl. Matured in bourbon & sherry casks. In 2014, the distillery's George Wills toured the UK in a Kilchoman-branded Land Rover doing tastings of their output. It worked so well there was a second tour in 2015. This was a special bottle of cask strength Machir Bay just for people lucky enough to attend the events. An Islay malt distillery that was the first new distillery on the island for 124 years when it opened in 2005. Founded by the Wills family, the distillery saw a return of the practice of “farm distilling” to Islay as it used its own barely fields, malt floors and kilns.
