Machir Bay is a Kilchoman whisky from Islay in Scotland, named after the beach close to the distillery. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
It is made from whiskies matured in ex-bourbon casks and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, and it pairs sweetness with the smokiness of Islay peat.
The nose offers peat smoke with vanilla and dried fruit. On the palate there is chocolate and cinnamon over lingering peat, leading to a long finish with hints of spice and citrus.
