This is a peated Islay single malt from the family-run farm distillery Kilchoman, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the first time the distillery has aged its whisky in Maury casks, which held fortified wine from Roussillon.
The full maturation adds honeyed sweetness, with sticky date and raisin notes, to the peated spirit. It is a limited edition for 2026.
The nose offers figs, raisins and dates with salted caramel, orange peel and soft peat smoke. The palate has pipe smoke, dark chocolate, treacle and warming spices. The finish brings dried fruits, cacao, earthy peat smoke and a gentle dry spice.
