Kilchoman Rockside 11 Year Old is a single farm single malt from Islay. The barley is grown, floor-malted, peated, distilled, matured and bottled at Rockside Farm, which Kilchoman bought in 2015. The malt is peated to 20 ppm and the whisky matured in roughly 80% ex-bourbon and 20% Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and with no added colour.
The nose is orange, lemon peel, elderflower, honey and maritime smoke. The palate brings citrus, tropical fruit, barley sugar, toffee apple, salted caramel and gentle peat smoke. The finish is long and silky, with butterscotch, walnuts, citrus and ripe stone fruit.
