Kilchoman Rockside 11 Year Old is an Islay single malt from Kilchoman distillery, which stands on Rockside farm. The barley is grown on the farm, then malted and lightly peated at around 20ppm. The whisky matured for 11 years in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks and is bottled at 46%.
The nose brings orange, lemon zest and honey with delicate, maritime peat smoke. On the palate, citrus and tropical fruit meet barley sugar, caramelised apple and salted butter caramel. The finish is lingering, with nuts, caramel and stone fruit.
