Kilchoman Rockside 11 Year is a lightly peated Islay single malt, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made entirely from barley grown at Rockside Farm, where the barley is also malted, peated, distilled, matured and bottled on site.
The whisky is peated to around 20 PPM and matured for 11 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. It is the first age-statement bottling in Kilchoman's permanent Core Range.
The nose brings orange, lemon peel, elderflower, honey and maritime smoke. On the palate there are citrus, tropical fruit, barley sugar and salted caramel with subtle peat, and the finish carries butterscotch, walnuts and gentle smoke.
