Kilchoman The 6th Edition 100% Islay is a limited-edition Islay single malt, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2016 at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It was made from barley to bottle at Kilchoman Distillery and is non-chill-filtered and natural in colour.
It was matured entirely in ex-bourbon barrels, mainly from Buffalo Trace. The nose is light and fruity, mixing sweet, smoky and spicy notes. The palate is very oily and fruity, with fresh yellow and white fruit, peat, heather honey, toasted notes and a light saltiness. The finish is long and soft, with toasted citrus, banana, oatcakes and fine sea salt crystals.
