Kilchoman U.S. Small Batch No. 8 is the eighth release in a numbered series of small-batch bottlings made for the United States. It is a peaty Islay single malt, bottled at 47.7% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
Kilchoman was founded in 2005 by Anthony Wills and was the first new distillery built on Islay in over 124 years. The whisky is distilled, matured and bottled on the farm.
The nose is a coastal bonfire of charred oak and earthy peat, and the palate is smoky and sweet with sea salt and brine. The finish is warm, smoky and lingering.
