Kilkerran – 13 Year Old 2011 - Fresh Bourbon - Duty Paid Sample 57.8% is a single malt whisky from Kilkerran (Campbeltown). Aged 13 years, bottled at 57.8% ABV, 70cl. Mitchell's Glengyle Ltd. are very proud to be continuing and adding to the great Campbeltown Distilling tradition and the choice of name reflects that. Kilkerran is derived from the Gaelic 'Ceann Loch Cille Chiarain' which is the name of the original settlement where Saint Kieran had his religious cell and Campbeltown now stands. Kilkerran is thought to be a suitable name for a new Campbeltown Malt since it was unusual for the old Campbeltown distilleries to be called after a Glen, a custom more usually associated with the Speyside region. This bottling of Kilkerran 13-year-old is a Duty Paid Sample intended for trade purposes. This single malt was distilled in 2011 and matured in a fresh bourbon cask.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
