This is the 2026 edition of Kilkerran 8 Year Old Bourbon Cask, made at Glengyle in Campbeltown and bottled at 57.7% in a 70cl bottle. It was fully matured in bourbon casks, and shows the oily, complex Kilkerran house style, with a peat character that is present but not overpowering.
The nose leads with butterscotch and custard creams, then apple butter, white miso, cream sponge and poached pear. The palate is creamy, with shortbread crust and smooth caramel chocolate, followed by gooseberries, white grapes, cigar box smoke and sandalwood. The finish brings green peppercorn, honeydew melon and an ashy note.
