Kilkerran 8 Year Old Port Cask is a Campbeltown single malt from Glengyle Distillery, matured entirely in port casks. Bottled in 2022 at its natural cask strength of 57.9% ABV, it is non-chill-filtered and retains its natural colour.
Cherry, plum and dried apricot meet cinnamon, clove and toasted oak on the nose. Stewed fruit, raisins, caramel and dark chocolate fill an oily palate, with gentle smoke underneath. The long finish brings warming spice, sweet port wine and earthy notes.
