Kilkerran 8 Year Old Sherry Cask is a peated single malt made at the Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown. It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.5% ABV.
The whisky is matured entirely in sherry casks, which bring a powerful sherry character.
The nose has delicate smoke recalling marshmallows and grilled bacon, with dark chocolate emerging as it opens. The palate begins powerful and briny, with dried fruit, toffee and caramelised apples, then moves to soft peat and thick smoke.
