Kilkerran 8 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt matured in sherry casks. It comes from Glengyle, whose owner, Mitchell's Glengyle Ltd, describes itself as proud to continue the Campbeltown distilling tradition.
The name was a deliberate choice: it was unusual for the old Campbeltown distilleries to be named after a glen, a custom more often linked with Speyside.
