Kilkerran 8 Years Cask Strength Sherry Cask is a limited-edition single malt Scotch from Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown. It was matured for 8 years in ex-sherry casks and bottled at cask strength, in a 70cl bottle.
Kilkerran takes its name from the Gaelic name of the monastic settlement that stood there before the town was founded.
The nose has peat, cocoa, red fruit and raisins, with a light marine touch. The palate is fruity and peaty, with orange, liquorice, tropical fruit and cinnamon. The finish is of good length, with notes of wood.
