Kilkerran 8 Years Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (57.7%)

Kilkerran 8 Years Old is a cask strength single malt from Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, bottled at 57.7% ABV. It has spent a minimum of eight years in bourbon casks and carries a light to medium smoky note. It is non-chill-filtered with no added colouring. Glengyle was rebuilt and restarted in 2004. It stands next door to Springbank, and some of the staff are shared between the two. Kilkerran is made there for only three months of the year. The nose offers cream caramel, custard, apple and pear. On the palate come shortbread, caramel, chocolate, gooseberry, green grapes and cigar smoke, and the finish adds honeydew melon, pepper and ash.
