This is Batch 9 of the 2023 Kilkerran Heavily Peated, a Campbeltown single malt bottled at 59.2% abv. It was matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, which add a sweet, fruity character alongside the savoury peat at its centre. The nose is typically described as freshly baked shortbread, coconut and smoked green banana peels. On the palate come digestive biscuits, gooseberries and bracing peat smoke.
