Kilkerran Heavily Peated is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown, a sister to Springbank. It is aged for at least 9 years in a combination of 90% ex-bourbon and 10% ex-sherry casks, and is peated to around 80 ppm.
The nose is sweet and fruity, with creme brulee, coconut, banana, honey and peat. The palate is peaty, with caramel, vanilla, mango and oak and a slight maritime hint. The finish is of good length, sweet and spicy, with black pepper, ginger and ash.
