A limited edition Kilkerran from the Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown, released as Heavily Peated Batch 2 in the Peat in Progress series. It is a vatting of 55% ex-bourbon and 45% ex-sherry matured whisky, bottled at 60.9% in a 70cl bottle.
The series follows the distillery as its peated stock moves towards full maturity. The nose has toasted malt, smoked bacon, earthy notes and fresh citrus. The palate brings cooked apple, herbs, peppery smoke and ginger. The finish is long and warming, with sweet peat and spice.
