Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch #2 is a Campbeltown single malt from Glengyle Distillery, released in 2019 as part of the Heavily Peated Series. It is bottled at cask strength, 60.9% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, after maturation in a blend of 55% ex-bourbon and 45% ex-sherry casks.
Rich peat smoke leads the nose, with dried fruit and subtle spices. The palate is full-bodied and smoky, with dark chocolate and oak, and the finish is long and warming, with lingering peat and a touch of sweetness.
