Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 7 Cask Strength (70cl, 59.1%)

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 7 is a Campbeltown single malt from Glengyle, bottled at a cask strength of 59.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is matured 90% in bourbon casks and 10% in sherry casks, and is of natural colour and non-chill-filtered. Kilkerran is a twice-distilled malt, made with malt from the traditional malting floor at sister distillery Springbank. The nose is fresh, with wet pine forest and gooseberry. On the palate peat and ash come to the front, alongside shortbread and sweet pastry. The finish brings sweet peat, salted pretzels and green apple.
