Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 8 (58.4%)

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 8 is a Campbeltown single malt from the Glengyle distillery, which reopened in 2004. It is the smoky expression of the Kilkerran range, and these heavily peated releases are always very small. Batch 8 was filled from a mix of 90% bourbon casks and 10% sherry casks, and bottled at a cask strength of 58.4%. It is natural in colour and not chill-filtered, and the character is notably smoky.
