Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 9 (59.2%)

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 9 is the ninth batch of this heavily peated Campbeltown single malt, bottled at a cask strength of 59.2% without chill filtering or added colour. The whisky matured 90% in ex-bourbon barrels and 10% in ex-sherry casks. The nose combines maritime notes with dark chocolate, coconut, banana bread, smoked meat and wood, all under dry peat smoke like a smouldering campfire. On the palate the peat is intense, with vanilla butter biscuits, caramel and creamy pudding behind it. The finish is long and smoky, with peat and gooseberries.
