This is Batch 9 of Kilkerran Heavily Peated, a strongly peated single malt from the Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown. It is another release in the Peat In Progress series, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in a mix of 90% ex-bourbon casks and 10% ex-sherry casks. It was bottled at cask strength, 59.2%.
Glengyle makes the Kilkerran single malt, and the name comes from the old Gaelic name for the area where Campbeltown now stands.
