Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch No. 8 is a single malt from Campbeltown, released as the eighth batch of this peated expression. The peat is described as prolific yet well integrated, alongside a fresh coastal character.
The nose offers citrus, vanilla cheesecake, rhubarb and custard sweets and a delicate peat smoke. Baked Bramley apple pie and sweet salted caramel come through on the palate, and the finish is long and creamy, with toasted oak and pencil shavings giving way to sweet, fruity peat smoke.
