This is a 51-year-old single malt from Kinclaith, a Lowland distillery that has long been closed. Duncan Taylor bottled it in its Rarest of the Rare series as a single cask, number 301454. The whisky was distilled on 28 May 1969 and bottled on 5 June 2020. The cask gave 95 bottles at 49.3%, without chill-filtration or added colour. The nose is of mature fruit, honey and delicate floral notes, with a touch of vanilla and malt. The palate is full and velvety, with toffee, nuts and fine spice. The finish is long and elegant, with a light trace of oak and spices.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
