King of Kentucky 17 Year Old is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Brown-Forman, bottled at natural cask strength in a 750ml bottle. The mash bill is 79% corn, 11% rye and 10% malted barley.
The 2025 release is the eighth annual bottling of a brand established in 1881 and revived in 2018. It draws on 63 barrels filled in 2007, hand-selected by Master Distiller Emeritus Chris Morris from Warehouse J and Warehouse G. About 5,000 bottles were hand-filled, wax-dipped and individually numbered.
On the nose there is dark brown sugar, seasoned oak, molasses and chestnut. The palate brings cocoa, cherry cola and spiced stewed apple, and the finish is dry leather, oak and rye spice.
