Kininvie 17 Year Old Batch 1 is a single malt in a 35cl bottle, released as a travel retail exclusive. It was distilled in 1996 and matured in American oak and sherry casks.
The Kininvie distillery opened in July 1990, founded by Jane Sheed-Roberts, a granddaughter of William Grant.
The nose is rich, with fresh fruit and a deep vanilla sweetness, plus a floral note that comes forward with a little water. The palate is sweet, with buttery vanilla and a touch of spice, and the finish is long and lingering with a notable sweetness.
