Knappogue Castle 12 Year Old is a triple-distilled single malt Irish whiskey from the Cask Finish Series, in a 750ml bottle at 46% ABV. It spends at least 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels before a finish in Cognac casks.
The outturn is 1,500 bottles.
The nose has oak, caramel and dried fruit. On the palate, the richness of the Cognac casks mingles with the gentle sweetness of malted barley, and the finish is smooth and lingering.
