Knob Creek 12 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It was matured for twelve years in new, charred American oak barrels.
The mashbill is a high-corn blend with rye and malted barley, and the whiskey is produced by Beam Suntory in Clermont, Kentucky.
The nose brings deep caramel, toasted oak, honeyed vanilla and brown sugar, with cinnamon, roasted pecan and a little leather. On the palate, caramel and molasses lead into dark toffee, vanilla bean and warm baking spices.
