Knob Creek 9 Year Old Independence Edition is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It marks America's 250th birthday and was announced in June 2026 by the James B. Beam Distilling Co. as part of the Beam family's 250th collection.
The whiskey is the usual nine-year-old Knob Creek, aged in American white oak. What changes is the dress: a red, white and blue label and the first blue wax seal in the brand's history, in place of the traditional black wax.
The official notes describe toasted nuts, grain and oak on the nose, then a rich, sweet, full-bodied palate of smooth vanilla, deep caramel and charred oak, ending in a long, glowing finish.
