Knob Creek Blender's Edition 01 is a 10 year old Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 53% ABV (106 proof). It is the first release in a series about the art of blending, led by Master Distiller Freddie Noe, who hand-selected the barrels to bring out the sweeter side of Knob Creek.
The barrels were matured for at least 10 years in heavily charred new American oak at the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Kentucky. It is a limited release.
The nose is led by caramel, with vanilla bean, toasted sugar and a little fruit. On the palate it is rich and sweet, with brown sugar, vanilla frosting, maple and cherry. The finish is long and soft, with vanilla, gentle spice and seasoned oak.
