Knob Creek Cask Strength Rye Whiskey (75cl)

This is a Kentucky rye from Knob Creek, aged for nine years in Warehouse A, the oldest standing rackhouse at the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont. It is a limited edition, matured in new charred American oak. It goes from barrel to bottle with no water added and no chill filtration, so the strength changes from batch to batch. The first batch in 2018 came in at 119.6 proof (59.8% ABV) and the second at 127 proof. The distillery's notes describe dill, spice and honey with charred oak on the nose. On the palate dill and clove give way to sweet baking spice, and the finish is long and warm.
