Knob Creek Straight Rye is a small batch Kentucky straight rye whiskey from Jim Beam in Clermont. It is aged in deeply charred barrels and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 750ml bottle.
It applies Booker Noe's pre-Prohibition approach to bourbon to a rye whiskey.
The nose is herbs and rye with a measured oak note. The palate is bold, spicy rye with vanilla and oak beneath. The finish is warm and smooth, with spice throughout.
