Knob Creek Rye 7 Years Old (75cl, 50%)

Knob Creek Rye is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey, aged seven years in deeply charred new American oak barrels and bottled at 50% in a 750ml bottle. It is made at the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont. The mashbill is 55% rye, 35% corn and 10% malted barley, and the relatively high corn content gives a caramel sweetness alongside the rye spice. The nose offers caramel, cracked rye grain, sour cherry, clove and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied, with black pepper, red fruit, candied cherry and nutmeg. The finish is long and warming, with oak, baking spice and caramel.
