Knob Creek Straight Rye is a 7 year old American rye whiskey, bottled at 50% (100 proof) in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to Jim Beam's Small Batch Collection and is made from a high-corn rye mash bill. It matured for seven years in deeply charred new oak barrels.
The nose is rich caramel, ginger and menthol, with herbaceous rye and oak spice. The palate is spicy and mouth-coating, balanced by vanilla, brown sugar and soft butter. The finish brings drying oak, white pepper and rye spice.
