Komagatake x Chichibu Malt Duo is a 2021 release from Mars, a vatting of malt whisky from two distilleries, Komagatake and Chichibu.
The whisky was matured at the Mars Shinshu Distillery for more than five years. The casks were a mix of bourbon barrels, American white oak and sherry oak, so the vatting draws on several wood types rather than a single one.
