Koval Single Barrel Four Grain Whiskey (75cl, 47%)

Koval Single Barrel Four Grain is an American whiskey from the Koval distillery in Chicago, bottled at 47% in a 750ml bottle. The mashbill is oat, malted barley, rye and wheat, with no corn. Only the heart of each distillation run is kept, and the spirit is aged in heavily charred 30-gallon new American oak barrels. The nose opens with banana, both fresh and baked, then butterscotch, caramel and icing sugar. On the palate come banana bread, hazelnut chocolate and yellow plum, with a clove and pepper spice from the rye. The finish is long and sweet, with cacao, orange peel, raisin and ginger.
