Kujira 10 Year Old is a Japanese single grain whisky from Masahiro Shuzo on the island of Okinawa, bottled at 43% ABV.
It is distilled from Indica rice, using black koji for saccharification and fermentation, and matured for ten years in virgin American white oak casks.
The nose is described as honey, nectar and brown sugar with floral notes. The palate is buttery, with caramel sauce, baked bread, liquorice, cloves and cinnamon, and the long, spicy finish has a slight bitterness.
