Kujira Ryukyu 5 Years Old is an Okinawan whisky made by Masahiro Shuzo, which the text describes as one of the oldest distilleries in Japan. It starts from 100% indica rice, mashed with black koji, a type found only along the Ryukyu island chain. The blenders hand-selected white oak virgin casks, where the whisky rests for five years and takes on woody spice and subtle tannins. The finish is smooth, mellow and sweet.
