This is a 5 year old Japanese whisky from Kujira, part of the Ryukyu series. It was aged in Okinawa, the southernmost region of Japan, where the climate is subtropical, and it matured in virgin casks of white oak. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is sweet, with caramel, vanilla and a touch of liquorice, alongside woody and spicy notes from the oak. On the palate there is caramel and fresh vanilla, with light tannins that give the whisky a soft texture.
