Kujira 8 Years (50cl)

Kujira 8 Years is a single grain whisky from Okinawa, made with Indica rice and Okinawan black koji. It matured for more than 8 years in Spanish sherry casks and Kentucky bourbon casks. It comes in a 50cl bottle. The name refers to Hone Kujira, the 'bone whale', a spectral whale skeleton from Japanese folklore. The nose opens with plums, vanilla, liquorice and toasted notes. The palate is pleasantly sweet and soft, and the finish is persistent, with dried fruit.
