Kujira Ryukyu is a 12 year old Japanese single grain whisky matured in sherry casks, in a 75cl bottle.
The aroma is natural honey and sherry. On the palate, sherry leads, with molasses and corn syrup, plenty of fruit, a touch of balsamic vinegar and a hint of sweetness like rum mousse. The aftertaste is long, bitter at first and then turning to an enduring sweetness that recalls cognac and rum.
