Kujira Ryukyu Whisky 15 Years Old is a Japanese whisky made from rice by Masahiro Shuzo in Okinawa. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle and carries a 15-year age statement.
The whisky is matured in Sherry, Bourbon and American white oak casks, in Okinawa's subtropical climate.
The nose combines dried plums and candied fruit with mint and chocolate. On the palate, chocolate, vanilla and honey sweetness give way to spice, a light smoky touch and toasted bread. The finish is smooth and long, with gentle sweetness, liquorice and pepper.
