Kunhai Whisky Earth (70cl, 40%)

Kunhai Whisky Earth is a Taiwanese blended whisky, made from malt and grain whiskies without an age statement. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The peat is light, an accent rather than the main voice, and sits alongside incense, spice and a touch of fruity sweetness. The brand draws on the character of the island's night markets for its style. In the glass it is light amber. The nose offers sandalwood incense, cardamom, white flower and dried hops. On the palate there is incense spice, caramel and red currant over gentle peat smoke, leading to a warm, exotic finish.
