This is a Japanese blended malt, a variation on Kura The Whisky that has been finished in casks which previously held rum. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The rum cask finish is described as bolstering the fruit in the whisky. The nose has toasted oak first, then green apple and spiced mango chutney. The palate brings tangy orange and lemon with a touch of menthol and some remaining smoke, and the finish has burnt sugar, stewed pears and strong notes of clove.
